Injury Sidelines Fall from NBLxNBA Tour

The hopes of NBL fans eager to see Tacko Fall in action during the New Zealand Breakers’ NBLxNBA tour have been dashed. The 7’6″ center has been ruled out of the remaining games due to a quad injury.

Breakers’ owner Matt Walsh expressed his disappointment, stating:

“I feel for him that he can’t get out on the floor. He signed with us with the anticipation that he was going to get a chance to expose himself to these NBA teams.”

Current Season Plans

Despite growing speculation about Fall potentially joining the Breakers for the remainder of the NBL season, Walsh has put those rumors to rest. He clarified:

“There was some speculation…but we are very happy with Freddie (Gillespie). He’s the best professional and he’s an incredible guy.”

Future Possibilities

While Fall won’t be suiting up for the Breakers this season, the door remains open for future collaboration. Walsh hinted at potential opportunities:

“We’re going to work with his (Fall’s) agent to see what it could mean next season or in the future. That’s all a work in progress.”

He added optimistically:

“You never really know what the future holds. We would love for him to be part of the Breakers at some point.”

As basketball fans await the next chapter in Tacko Fall’s career, the Breakers continue to express interest in potentially bringing the towering center into their fold in the future.
