Kings CEO Chris Pongrass tipped his hat to Makoi, acknowledging the guard’s potential and contributions.

“Jackson has a bright future ahead of him,” Pongrass said. “While a talented young player, both of us saw a better opportunity for him to play meaningful minutes with another club, and so this was the best move for everyone.”

It’s a nod to the future for both the player and the team, with Pongrass adding, “He played a crucial role as part of our championship team in NBL23 and we will forever be thankful for his time here in Sydney.”
