2024 Aus Junior Champs: ACT Triumphs 76 – 74 Over NSW Country

The Australian Capital Territory clinched a narrow victory over New South Wales Country, 76-74, at South Pine on Friday night, in a game that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final buzzer.

The Australian Capital Territory’s strategy was effectively centered around their star player, A. Nyuon, who delivered a powerhouse performance with 32 points and 12 rebounds, dominating both ends of the court. His ability to convert crucial baskets under pressure was instrumental in their win. The team also benefited from S. Melekiola’s contribution of 21 points, helping to maintain the offensive pressure throughout the game. Defensively, they managed to hold off a late surge from New South Wales Country, showcasing strong team cohesion and tactical prowess.

On the other side, New South Wales Country showcased a spirited fightback, led by L. Cuda who scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. C. Whale also made significant contributions with 19 points and six assists. Despite their efforts, the team fell just short, struggling to find their rhythm in the critical moments of the game.
